What would you Say?
Abortion
I
was very much looking forward to my life in this world.
I
longed for the love of a father, mother and the concern of a brother.
I
wanted to have friends go to school and see the magnificent world.
I
looked forward to celebrating Christmas and receiving Jesus in Holy Communion.
I'm
very sad I never got to do any of these things. My parents did not let me be
born.
But
I just don't understand one thing -- why didn't any of you help me? I wish you
had. Nobody heard my crying voice.
.
These are the dreams of an unborn
child who wished to be born but aborted by parents. These saying demonstrates
the selfish and comfort seeking nature of people. In order to satisfy their comforts they
choose abortions and deny the autonomy of the unborn child. Abortion in the
death fate of those children who are unborn. Pope Francis says that ‘’the use
of abortion to terminate pregnancies likely to produce disabled or chronically
ill children was the product of Nazi mentality. We do the same as the Nazis’ to
maintain the purity of the race, but with white glows on”. In the book of
Genesis chapter 9 verse 6 says that whoever sheds blood of a human by a human
that person’s blood be shed, for his own image God made humankind. Life is a
gift from God. Adam became a living being by the breath of God [Gen.2:7].Life
belong to God, humans do not have absolute autonomy over their own lives but
are stewards of the life given to them by God. So abortion is a greatest sin
against God and human. St. Augustine treated abortion as a form of homicide.
St. John Paul II says that ‘’every violation of the personal dignity of the
human being cries out”. He give example for “Cain rose up against his brother
Abell, and killed him’’
Dear friends, abortion is a one of the most
discussed issue in the society. According to Fulton J sheen “abortion in the
greatest destroyer of peace today. Being as religious what can we do to cease
this problem? This is an apt time to raise our voice and address the society,
regarding the negative impact of abortion. Friends, we are fortunate enough to
be born. Thus it is our obligation to argue for the unborn children who lose
their golden chance to see their magnificent world. Let us become a voice for
the voiceless, and wipe away the stain of abortion from our society. As young
boy Daniel raise his voice for Susann, let raise our voice for young
diminishing lives. Now onwards an innocents blood my note fall in this world.
Let me conclude with this prayer.
Thank you
