Service become love it is very risky task through seems to be simple. We many do many things which we have learned or compelled by others to perfume. Because we may be animated by superiors. In order to get away from this corrections we may do many activities. But social service is entirely different from all these things. Social services is a selfless service, it should come from the heart. It is a sharing attitude towards others. We give our time and energy for the welfare of others. We share our lives with the people who are lost, least and last in the society. Social services is a sharing of entire self with others. Jesus praised the widow who offered her two copper coin. Because she did this noble act not from her abundance, but from her poverty this is the beauty of social service, we help others not from our richness but from our poverty. Jesus showed best example for us by consoling poor and oppressed people of the society. Before we enter in to the field of social work we should have a proper mind set.


  So that we can overcome all the possible impediments when we face the reality. There are great people in front of us who showed the path of victory in social service. St. Kuriakos Elias Chavara is a best example for us in the field of social service. He became a great social reformer by sacrificing his life for the downtrodden people of Kerala in his time. He says the day on which you haven’t done any good to your fellowmen will not counted in the book of life.
We can say without doubt that the foundation of social but others oriented. As we are the followers of St. Chavara let us consider that social service is not our responsibility but it is our life a life dedicated for others
