Impact of Social Media

“Don’t use social media to impress people; use it impact                                                          people”

Social media is a fantastic way to get people to express themselves to the world. Whatever it be a Facebook statues or writing on wall or a twitter update or uploading our photos in Instagram these all are extension of our personality. It help us to express ourselves and to show people who we are. They offer a platform for ourselves to be creative and to be innovative. It has also a spiritual dimension too.

When our provincial came to see us he asked us who all are using social media? Even though we were shy we all raise our hands. And he says that we can use social media in a spiritual way and he said that there is a brother in Dharmaram from our province who used to put spiritual talks and reflection and commentaries in social media and share to most of the people. So he told us to use in the someway he does. I share this experience to remind you that we could use social media for the glory of God.
We could see in people that those who interact with others in social media for a longtime and have thousands of friends and followers will not have even a single close friend. They always live in a virtual world. And also we could see people criticizing others in social media in a bad way but in contradictory they don’t know what the truth is. But in the other hand it offer people who find it difficult to interact with others in person, the internet gave them a great way of communication and not having the feel of self-conscious.
So social media is a gift. It can be used to make or break a business. It can also make or break a person. The famous scientist Stephen hawking says that “we are all now connected by the internet, like nervous in a giant brain.”
                                                                                 Thank you
